Onkaparinga Council Elections 2022

A bit about Gail
Gail loves the region, and working with and in the community, she has lived in for 20 years, the last 8 years being in Willunga, which changed from the Wine Coast Ward to the Southern Vales Ward at the last Council Election.
She served the community as very active elected member for the Wine Coast Ward for 8 years until 2018, where she sat on many committees and also held the position of Deputy Mayor, helping to achieve some great results for the Ward and the City.
Gail runs a successful B&B business and is a positive reinforcement dog training instructor, (she also volunteers as Senior Trainer and Vice President at School for Dogs Aldinga Bay) and she probably has helped train around a 1000 local dogs and their people over the last 8 years!
Gail has an extensive knowledge and understanding of government decision making & legislation process, as a Councillor, SA State Government Dog Cat Management Board Member, a Marriage Celebrant & JP.
She has also volunteered in various local organisations over the last few years (including the Willunga Recreation Park Committee, Southern Community Forum, CWA and the Willunga Business and Tourism Association Committee)
"Being elected to local government is probably the most effective and personal level of government you can work in.
You need to be readily available to your community (who are also your neighbours, colleagues and local businesses) as your decisions and actions directly affect their wellbeing at a real grass roots level.
It is a role that shouldn't be taken lightly, and should be carried out with a sense of responsibility, respect and equitability.
All members of our community matter" Gail
